Wiper blades need not whisk away excess dollars

Everyone gets caught like a cat within the rain sometimes. You should be able to see when you are in a vehicle during those times. You need your wiper blades to be able to work so you are able to see past all the water. Streaking and smearing should be minimal. When buying new wiper blades, keep in mind that Consumer Reports explains price doesn’t have an effect on how good a wiper blade is.

Consumer Reports also did a 185-car sample where it was discovered that most people don’t replace their wiper blades after they have degraded to being unsafe for driving. Most people don’t notice when their wiper blades get really bad because they are used to it.

Good wipers do the job and aren’t difficult to work with

Autos usually have a hook in them making it easy to buy and replace wiper blades that aren’t good anymore. The new blades should simply snap into place. If more work is needed than this to get the blades on, you’ve paid too much.

Owner’s manual gives you information

It is always a good idea to “Check the owner’s manual.” It’s a resource that many drivers nevertheless have on hand (or can discover online). The information you need about proper maintenance of your vehicle is contained within. Wiper blades have to be swapped out each and every six to 12 months. If you aren’t certain about size, bring one of the blades into the store with you when you are ready to replace.
